😇😒😜

The Holy Father wisely chose not to respond to the five dubia, or questions, posed to him by four cardinals who objected to Amoris Laetitia. Unlike our president, Pope Francis can’t be easily baited. “The dubia are not really expressions of doubt or questions but rather assertions that ‘Amoris Laetitia’ appears to have abandoned or altered key teachings of Catholic tradition”…

  1. You know ICF, I cannot say that I agree 100% with Pope Francis on all things, but…. I do not believe he is the “devil” either! The one thing I know for sure about him, is he is extremely merciful. I think many Catholics today are forgetting, “You do not kick a dog when he is down.”

On some issues I think this is what Pope Francis is trying to get through to so many. God Bless, SR

    1. I spent the morning reading stuff about the things everyone is worried about. In a nutshell, it would seem some just don’t want him to be Pope; so, they find everything to whine about. This includes clergy as well as non-clergy.
Well, I kinda look at it like this. He’s the Pope, doh period.
Paul didn’t agree with Peter either and vice versa. Does that diminish any of their teachings.
I get what people say about following the letter of the law; but I also saw this in my readings this morning, but then it was contradicted, by the same author who said: sic: but then Jesus did this in the same instance to show mercy.
There are somethings that are steadfast rules, and, I am all down for supporting them against all enemies; yet, there are gray areas as well. Not like in the words of Jesus or God; no, mostly in the churchs man made laws. Now there is the stumbling block.
Allow me to give you an example.
My previous Pastor was Rome educated, very intelligent, very serious, and a letter of the law priest.
One day in conversation ( since according to the powers to be we cannot say “confession,” I gave Father the following problem.
Department of Transportation requires me to take a .30 minute break after 8 hours of driving. No one does, everyone documents that they do; but we don’t. We’ve to much work.
When I asked Father about it and that fact that I would be lying; he stated quite frankly that that was a man made law.
But but but I asked, what about the following those appointed above me thing.
Don’t take things to extreme he said. Dont worry about it.
Now as straight as an arrow as he is, I took him at his word. Because you know, he is not our Parish Priest anymore. Nope he is on the Diocese Tribunanl or something like that.

So, onward. What does that have to do with you and me. Simple!
If you, and I do, have a close personal relationship with the Lord, with the Trinity, with our Blessed Mother, with your Guardian Angel, with your Patron Saint, or any or all of the above: you know when you are inline with God’s wishes. You hear it in your heart, you see it in your attitude. But wait, one more question for my dear Father.
What I asked if that is the devil whispering in my ear or in my heart.
Simply stated he said. The Holy Spirit will always bring peace and Satan will always bring anxiety.
Well, after the last several interourses we have had with this crew of late: I have been filled with anxiety. Not to say that they are Satan. No No But it is Satan in my ear filling me with dread, with non truths.
So, even tho I had my GA whispering in one ear, I’ve had this nasty spirit whispering in the other.
This morning, I prayed and prayed and prayed. Finally the Lord led me to the readings I needed. So, now I am at peace again.
Boy I sure did use “so” alot.

      Peace to you

  2. Exactly, ICF. Could not agree with you more! I love the line, “Where Jesus did the same to show mercy.” I mean St. Faustina is my patron saint for goodness sakes! The “secretary of His Divine Mercy.”

You are so correct in, “Satan does cause anxiety,” that is one I am going to keep, for future reference. That will tell me when to get out of something.

Though as I said, “Not all do I agree with, with Pope Francis, ” I mean I have to think of the whole process, before I can just get out here and jump on a “band wagon.” One of my first thoughts is, “Is this going to be for the good of others?”

Like on receiving communion after divorce. You read what I wrote, why should I not be able to receive communion when someone beat the %$#@, out of me, and I had to have surgery bc of it? Jesus would never turn me away bc of that? Ever! I truly think Pope Francis is thinking about these things?

He is not judgmental for one thing. Really if you want to know my thoughts on the “crew.” Calvinist! I say this bc they quote John Calvin and I have studied him. “Correct error with love.” “Cannot let a soul go to hell.” All of this, and the way they are doing it, comes from John Calvin, not the Church.

I had one more comment from one of them yesterday and my response was, “Whatever.” I left it at that bc it was so ridiculous. I was profaning the name of God bc I used the word, “Gees!” It was just too stupid for me to reply.

When we do not have peace ICF, we do not have God. Like I said, “Unless someone attacks one of my friends, (guess my grandfather is coming out in me) LOL!, I am staying away from it all.

The one follower of mine they attacked has emailed me twice, already.

Anyways, Isaiah 3 helped me so much in seeing what we are truly doing to God’s Church and some had better quit thinking they have the “deed to it,” bc they don’t! He welcomes us to it, but we do not own it. God Bless, SR
